My Foray Into Broadcast Writing

Today, in Chardon Ohio, a 17 year-old boy was charged in a school shooting that left three students dead.  T.J. Lane was told by the juvenile judge that the case could be sent to adult court for trial.  Lane is charged with three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault. He has admitted to taking a pistol and a knife to the high school where he randomly opened fire at students in the cafeteria.
Here's a link to one of many stories about the shooting http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2012/02/at_least_4_students_hurt_in_sh.html

A new study shows that consumer confidence is on the rise.  Consumers are becoming more optimistic as unemployment reaches a three year low and the Dow Jones industrial average closed above 13,000 for the first time in almost four years.  Even though there are signs of improvement, there is still some cause for concern such as rising gas prices, growing tensions with Iran, and the European debt crisis.

Today, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” has officially announced its line-up.  This season’s line-up will include “Family Matters” actor, Jaleel White, and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, amongst others.  This line-up will hopefully improve the shows ratings which saw its lowest turnout ever during last season’s finale.  The new season premieres March 19th.
...Didn't care much for this story so no pics or link!!
